
E. Zach SmithZach Smith was born in Holdenville, OK. His father is a retired Associate District Judge in Hughes County and was on the bench for 25 years, and his mother taught music for 26 years in Holdenville Public Schools. He comes from a long line of lawyers, many of which practice in Tulsa or the surrounding areas today. Zach attended Oklahoma State University in Stillwater. He chose a double major in International Business and Marketing and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. Zach was also a member of the Sigma Nu Fraternity. While at OSU, Zach joined the Oklahoma Army National Guard and went on to serve his country for almost ten years before resigning as a Captain. He went to Basic Training in Fort Leonard Wood, MO and was trained initially as a truck driver. He later graduated Officer Candidate School in 1999 and was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant before entering law school that following fall. During his time in the army he trained in various Forts and Bases in the U.S. and also spent time training in South Korea. After his first year in law school he spent the entire summer of 2000 in Fort Jackson, SC where he graduated Officer Basic Course and became an Adjutant General Officer. He later went on to become the Commander for the 645th Personnel Service Company before finishing his military duty with the 90th Troop Command Headquarters. Zach attended law school at Oklahoma City University where his father went to both college and law school. He graduated in May of 2002 and went to work right out of law school for the Tulsa County District Attorney's Office. After serving in the Tulsa DA's Office for over four years, Zach started his own law practice. After a year, he and Anthony Gorospe formed the law firm of Gorospe and Smith. He is a member of the Tulsa County Bar Association, the Oklahoma Bar Association and is admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Northern district of Oklahoma. He is also a member of the Tulsa Young Professionals.
